Columbus Manor Residential Care Home is an immediate care facility for the mentally ill located in the heart of downtown Chicago. Columbus Manor is ICF-MI licensed by the state of Illinois and expanding to SMHRF (Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility.) The facility came under new ownership in 2013; and, we have invested in a $600,000 facility renovation and service program restructuring. We are proud to be able to provide the encouraging environment that is favorable for the rehabilitation of all psychiatric patients who reside here now and into the future.
“Home away from home” is the intonation for our beautiful setting that recognizes the individuality of each of our residents as well as privacy, confidentiality and prompt response to all resident needs. We are committed to providing a safe and warm environment with a prompt, open door policy and are deeply committed to our employees- ensuring that acute, personal hardships they may encounter are taken care of.
Columbus Manor provides round the clock nursing care. Our qualified staff of licensed RNs, LPNs and CPAs ensures coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We pride ourselves on our very dedicated and highly-qualified social services staff educated in Masters Bachelors level degrees in social work. Our social service intervention includes clinical groups that decrease / remove negative, psychiatric behavioral patterns.
